I'm incredibly excited to once again have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from North Idaho College, Eastern Washington University's Get Lit! program, and the Coeur d'Alene Public Library Foundation to bring another best-selling author to our region. Author R.O. Kwon will visit CDA Public Library on Friday, April 17th to discuss her best-selling novel, The Incendiaries.
As chair of the common read program at North Idaho College, it's our mission to provide opportunities for shared conversations surrounding the 2018-20 diversity theme of cultural identity.
In addition to assisting with the planning, I was also afforded the opportunity to design the promotional flyer. I used some of the branding elements of the college and then worked to create a hierarchy of information for the event details. I've really enjoyed the opportunities North Idaho College has afforded me in allowing me to apply personal interests and skills outside my department to help with promotion. Mike Culton, the college's graphic designer made some helpful suggestions for final tweaks. Looking forward to this event but, even more so appearing less crazy when a photographic opportunity presents itself (poor Tommy Orange).
